White Claw Mixed With Casamigos Tequila Drink
I was experimenting for a while in my backyard bar during this down time that the COVID-19 has afforded me lately. My first concoction, very simply called ‘The Clooney Claw,” was using Casamigos Reposado tequila as a base and then filled with Lime White Claw seltzer. (George Clooney was one of the founders of Casamigos.)
The end result was a good buzz, and an average tasting drink, but then I decided to get a bit creative with it. And when I say creative, I took some of the typical margarita ingredients and added my own twist to it. The recipe is below. I will warn you, this tastes just like your Grandma's iced tea, but will hit you like your crazy Uncle's moonshine. Be very careful with this mix, because this had me in bed by 8 p.m. after enjoying these during a quarantine happy hour!
Casamigos and White Claw Margarita Spritzer
That's a working name above, and I'd love to hear some suggestions on what to call this awesome drink, which by the way, hits you like a Long Island Iced Tea. So again, be very careful with this recipe.
First, fill the following ingredients in a shaker:
- 1.5 oz of tequila (I used Casamigos Reposado)
- 1 tablespoon of agave
- the juice of one fresh lime
- 1 ounce of cointreau (triple sec can be used as well)
Add ice to the shaker, and give it a good eight second shake. Pour the mix into a cup, and top with a cold Lime White Claw.
If you like my choice of glassware, I share when your can get the same set on my tequila glassware reviews page.
I forgot to ad the photo of the agave I used in that photo, so for full disclosure, here it is below:
Don't let this drink fool you. While it tastes amazing, it'll sneak up on you! Drink responsibly!
